A delicious and refreshing watermelon limeade slush recipe!
Watermelon limeade (or lemonade) slush is my official drink of summer. I often make this drink after a long ride in the hills with Fira. Since I had a few requests for the recipe after posting the drink picture on my Instagram stories I decided to share it here. I buy a new watermelon every week in the summer. Mango and I love watermelon, plus Fira enjoys eating the rinds so together – we eat the entire melon!
All you need is watermelon, limeade, and ice. If you want this drink to be extra slushy, keep frozen watermelon chunks on reserve in the freezer. You can get fancy and make your own limeade but I really like Simply Limeade. I’ll share my recipe below but you can tweak this formula to satisfy your own tastebuds. Some watermelons are sweeter than others so each batch will taste a little different. Occasionally I’ll throw in handfuls of mint and basil into the blender too, feel free to experiment! Tequila and vodka is optional but encouraged after a long day. 😀 Garnish this with some lime slices too. Our neighbors had a surplus of limes this year and were giving them out for free, they are so good!
- 4 heaping cups watermelon
- 3 cups limeade
- 4 cups ice
- Add watermelon, limeade, and ice to a blender and blend!
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Sip and enjoy! Be sure to also try my Lavender Lemonade Slush  and Frozen Peach Blender Lemonade. I’ll be busy keeping that blender running all summer long. If you make this recipe be sure to tag me in a photo on Instagram or Twitter! Stay cool out there!

Yum! This sounds like a great drink for hot days. I need to buy more watermelons. I like them but I don’t like cutting them. Putting them into a drink might be more my style, and save on waste too.

I have so much watermelon at the moment I should try this. No Simply Limeade however. Must go to store.
