What’s the key to maintaining a healthy mane or tail on a horse? In my experience – a good diet, lots of conditioner and keeping it protected. Fira is queen of the long mane and tail club over here. Tail bags are an easy way help keep your horse’s tail clean and out of the elements. Since I live in SoCal, Fira’s tail is down most of the year because of our extra long fly season, but I do like to braid it and put it in a tail bag during our winter rains.
I was browsing Etsy recently and discovered these fabulous handmade tail bags made by Butt Bagz in California. The tail bags come in miniature and standard, plus with an option for a matching scrunchie for you too. If you need a great gift for a fellow equestrian, this is a wonderful idea. Read on to see some of my favorite prints and designs.

Hello, I am writing you on behalf of the 2022 Northern California Jr Rodeo Association queen contest on April 2, 2022. We are looking for sponsors and/or donations to award our queens. There are 3 age divisions: sr, jr, and jr/jr. We would appreciate any and all donations. In return for your donation, you will receive recognition the day of the contest, on the website, on the social media page, as well as in the finals program. I was thrown into coordinating this pageant with a little over a month to put it together. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. I just want to make this the best contest I can for the girls. Thank you for your consideration,
Allison Weaver
