I served mine with a homemade cilantro ranch dressing. Everything tastes better when you dunk it! This dressing is just three ingredients – ranch dressing, garlic, and cilantro.
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 ounces shredded pepper jack cheese
- 1/4 cup freshly chopped jalapeño
- 1/3 cup fresh cilantro
- water
- melted butter
- Dressing:
- 1/4 cup ranch dressing
- 1 small bunch of cilantro
- 4 cloves of garlic
- Preheat the oven to 350
- Mix the cream cheese, pepper jack, jalapeño, and cilantro in a medium sized mixing bowl.
- Scoop about a half tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of a wonton. Brush two corner edges with water. Pull the opposite sides down, press, and firmly seal. Place the wonton on a baking sheet.
- Repeat this process until you are out of cream cheese filling.
- Brush the tops of the wontons with melted butter before placing them in the oven.
- Bake for 20 minutes, checking on the wontons after 10.
- Dressing:
- Combine ranch, cilantro, and garlic in a food processor. Blend and serve!
I hope you enjoy these delicious wontons as much as I did. Consider doubling the recipe for a big crowd, there won’t be any leftovers.
