Thank you Planet Cowboy for sponsoring this blog post!
Planet Cowboy was founded in 2013 by Jaylin Ramer, a sassy Jersey girl with an entrepreneurial spirit. Jaylin’s designs fuse classic styles with retro vibes while maintaining the integrity of traditional boot-making. This is the core of her brand. She’s been flabbergasted that year after year, the most affordable western boots are still being manufactured overseas with unnatural materials. “Enough’s enough – I’ll do it myself” she said and so her own brand ‘Planet Cowboy’ was born to create and manufacture her own boots.
Planet Cowboy’s designs and colors come from Jaylin’s intuition. She wanted to create cowboy boots to match her wardrobe and many moods. Colorful rainbow hues in yellow, pink, orange, red and blue are magical and fun – these bold boots will strike up a conversation on a city street. Other days call for blending in so Jaylin made tan and black boots too.
Jaylin founded Planet Cowboy with the intention of designing western boots with an urban edge. An artist at heart and in practice, Jaylin’s penchant for designing expressive boots in unconventional colorways and stitch patterns is rooted in her desire to wear boots that she simply couldn’t find anywhere else in the market. Her boots balance the tradition of handmade cowboy boot-crafting with all natural, earthly materials and fun, retro design.
Bringing Out the Boots
Up until 2019, the Planet Cowboy line was exclusive to Jaylin’s Soho NYC Store, Space Cowboy Boots. “It’s time,” says Jaylin, “to show these styles off to the entire planet!”
Planet Cowboy boots are handmade, respecting the traditional boot-making process while pushing boundaries in the looks department. These boots will help you make a statement, but can be worn every day. Planet Cowboy boots will last you a lifetime, they are affectionately called Future Vintage.
