A fun day in the saddle is always better when ice cream is involved!
It felt like summer again last Sunday in Los Angeles. It was in the 80s and the sun was out. My friend Robyn came up for a fun trail ride. The ponies made a short detour along the way to get some ice cream. We stopped at Baskin Robbins and were the first customers of the day – also maybe the only customers on horseback for the day. This Baskin Robbins is a summer staple here in the Rancho, it always has a long line of cars. I’ve always wanted to ride my horse to a drive thru so this checked off a bucket list item for me!
It’s like I always say – Life Isn’t Always Glitter, Ponies, & Ice Cream. But it should be.
Fira and her friend Ice also known as Ice Cream are such a cute pair. It was only appropriate that Ice Cream got to come along on this adventure as well.
Both horses were relaxed and didn’t mind the experience one bit.
Fira tried putting her head in the window to say hello. She was hoping they might have a carrot for her. She’s generally pretty curious about new situations, which is what I like to see.
I’m pretty sure I’ll be making more trips to the drive thru later this summer. It’s just one more experience for Fira in the city, making her a well broke horse.
It was St. Patrick’s Day so they served us green waffle cones! Fira had a bite of the cone and she loved it.
I’m wearing the Willow Wonders Striped top courtesy of Rod’s. It’s perfect for spring.
